Farm Toy Show and Sale


Farm Toy Show and Sale sponsored by the Friends of the LaMonte FFA will be held Saturday, March 3 at the La Monte High School Gymnasium from 9am-3pm. Admission is only $2 for adults and children 12 and under are free with a paid adult! There will be pedal tractors, construction and farm toys, cars and trucks, NASCAR collectibles, and more! Net proceeds are to benefit the La Monte FFA Chapter.

The Stover Fair Board will be hosting an All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Stover American Legion (downtown Stover on 2nd street).  $5.00 per person, children 3 years of age eat free.  The board will be serving homemade biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, pastries, coffee, orange juice, and more.

MU Ag Banquet


 Tickets are on sale now for the 2012 CAFNR Unlimited Banquet and Auctions, hosted by the MU Ag Alumni Association on Feb. 11, 2012, at the Holiday Inn Expo Center in Columbia, Mo. This event raises funds for scholarships and programs for students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR).

MOPS Playdate


MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) hosts a playdate in the First Baptist Church gym the second Wednesday of each month during the school year. The next will be held on February 8th, from 9 am-11 am. Wildlife Workshop in Clinton


Clinton, MO – The Truman Lake Chapter of Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation announces a Wildlife Workshop being held Saturday, March 3, 2012. The Workshop will take place at the Clinton Elk’s Lodge, located on the north side of the downtown Clinton square, beginning at 1:00 PM and ending by 7:00 PM.

Living Waters Ranch would like to report the end of 2011 finished strong with the Christmas from the Heart events in Osceola and Lowry City. Funding from a raffle and donations from churches and organizations allowed for more than 100 children to be able to give Christmas gifts to their family members.

Holy cow!  We have truly been blessed the past two weeks with books and teacher resources!  So many neat items I can't even begin to describe them all!  Here is an update on what is needed and what is overflowing at the warehouse:  NEEDED:  magnetic letters, manilla folders, 8 1/2 by 11 envelopes, napsacks with drawstrings (25 for a teacher at Henry Elem.)...

Fundraiser for Betty Sue Hill


A fundraising benefit for Betty Sue Hill is slated for February 11th from 11 'til 3 at the Davis R-12 School. Hill underwent unexpected major medical procedures that ultimately forced her to resign from her 20-year position as Dietary Manager at Glendale Gardens. She was also a bus driver for the Davis R-12 school system for a number of years.

Spring Quilt Show


SFCC seeks entries, vendors for spring quilt show
SEDALIA—State Fair Community College is seeking entries and vendors for a community quilt show April 20-21 at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on campus.
Hours will be 3-8 p.m. April 20 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21. Admission is free. Concessions will be available.

A Pool Party and Bumper Bowling


The Comm. Org. for Drug Elimination(CODE) is sponsoring a pool party.  The City of Clinton has agreed to provide free admission for the 5th graders and under with a parent to open up from 2-4pm on Saturday(1/21).

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announces the kickoff of the National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest is November 1, 2011. All poster entries must be received no later  than March 1, 2012. Fifth grade students from throughout Missouri are encouraged to participate in the contest.
