From the Clinton Fire Dept.

Clinton Fire Dept. responded to a structure fire in the 200 block
of N. Orchard St. over night. Upon arriving on scene fire
personnel were advised by the residents that all the occupants
were out of the house, but one of the occupants dogs were still
inside. Fire personnel made entry into the house & quickly
extinguished the fire which was located in the rear of the
residence. Fire fighters located the occupants dog & was able to
safely reunite it with its owner. Fire personnel remained on
scene for approx. 2 hours performing overhaul operations. The
fire originated on the outside & then burned into the structure
causing significant heat & smoke damage throughout the
residence. Both of the occupants & their pets were displaced &
are being assisted by the Red Cross.

ACCORDING TO THE FIRE DEPT., THE HOME WAS OWNED BY RICH THEILER AND THE OCCUPANTS WERE DARRELL AND VALERIE COUNTERMAN.
