CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCES SOFTBALL COACHES

The Clinton School District would like to announce the selection of Gary Bowers as the new Head Softball Coach for Clinton High School.

Coach Bowers currently teaches for CHS in the Science Department, and is the Assistant Baseball coach. Coach Bowers states, “I am excited to take over the helm of the Cardinals Softball program. I thoroughly enjoyed assisting Jennie Jaynes last year and look forward to this coming season with our returning ladies. I am fired up to lead these ladies into battle for my 38th year of coaching! Go Cardinals!”

Clinton is also excited to announce the selection of Krista Richardson as the Assistant Softball Coach. Coach Richardson will also teach in the Mathematics Department at Clinton Middle School. Coach Richardson states, “As I think about becoming a Clinton Cardinal I feel joy and excitement. I can’t wait to see what I am capable of and to pass on my love of softball as I take on the assistant position. I’m excited to meet the girls and to see what this season brings”.

Ms. Richardson attended Desoto High School in the St. Louis area. After high school, she received a scholarship to attend Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO. She played four years of softball while receiving her teaching degree.

Clinton High School Activities Director, Jason Abner, states, “We are extremely excited for this new chapter in the Clinton Softball Program. Coach Bowers brings a wealth of knowledge to the staff while Coach Richardson will bring fresh ideas and high energy to the program. We are excited to see what the 2020 season will bring”.
