Roy E. Cooper, Jr. (Updated)

Roy E. Cooper, Jr., 69, of Windsor, Missouri, died Wednesday evening, November 16, 2022, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Mo.

He was born January 23, 1953, in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Roy Elliott Cooper Sr. and Leta M. (Barber) Cooper. Roy graduated from Windsor High School. Following high school, he worked in construction for a short time. He enjoyed Country Western music and was an accomplished bass guitar player. He enjoyed driving, talking on the CB radio using his handle Momo, and spending time on the computer. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor.

Survivors include his mother, Leta Cooper, Windsor, Mo.; 2 brothers, Steven W. Cooper (Angel Alverez), Hillsborough, North Carolina, and Troy A. Cooper (Tammy), San Francisco, California; a sister, Debra Y. Nevils, Windsor, Mo.; a nephew, Christopher Nevils, Rock Springs, Wyoming; 2 nieces, Tatum Nevils, San Francisco, Ca., and Tanya Hamilton, Deepwater, Mo.; 3 great-nieces, Lilliam Hamilton, Piper Hamilton, and Evelyn Michael; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy E. Cooper Sr., and a brother-in-law, Johnny Nevils.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Justin Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
