Good morning everyone! The LRC has been consistent with a storm system coming in for Valentine’s week and with many plans and events on the calendar, I thought I would give an update to what we know right now. The long range models are now showing a system close by around the 13th through the 16th. This is a very tricky system as the AO (Arctic Oscillation) is set to turn more positive, which means the cold air begins to be tightly wound up near the North Pole. If this happens, we could be in line for just a liquid rain event or possible a mix of precipitation. We also have to see where this system digs a hole at as it moves across the Midwest. Just a difference of a few miles can totally change the expectations. If you have plans for that week, including Valentine’s Day, you most definitely want to stay up with updates to get the latest information. Have a great week everyone! Subby
