Henry County R-1 School District Names Dr. Julie K. Dill as Interim Superintendent
The Henry County R-1 Board of Education has appointed Dr. Julie K. Dill as Interim Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2026.
Dr. Dill brings more than 30 years of experience in public education, including service as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, and district-level leader. Since retiring from the Camdenton R-III School District in 2022, she has continued to support Missouri schools as an interim superintendent in Climax Springs (2024) and Tipton (2025), helping districts navigate leadership transitions, strengthen operations, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
She currently serves as a National Educational Consultant, working with districts on curriculum implementation, instructional improvement, and systems alignment.
Dr. Dill is known for her collaborative leadership, strong communication, and focus on student success. Her experience working closely with boards of education, staff, and community stakeholders positions her well to support Henry County R-1 during this transition period.
Board President Jason Heany expressed confidence in the appointment:
“Dr. Dill brings a wealth of experience and a steady, student-centered approach to leadership. Her background in guiding districts through transition, strengthening systems, and ensuring strong communication with boards and communities makes her an excellent fit for Henry County R-1. We are confident she will provide the leadership and stability needed as we prepare for the future of our district.”
Dr. Dill will begin her role on July 1 and will work closely with the Board of Education, staff, and community to support the district’s continued success and prepare for the selection of the next permanent superintendent.
