The Clinton Planning Commission will consider two development-related requests during its next meeting on Monday, July 6, at 6 p.m. at Clinton City Hall.

The meeting will begin with a public hearing on a proposal from Josh Nadler to plat property located at 301 North Price Lane as “Cobie Estates.” According to meeting documents, the applicant is seeking approval to subdivide the property into both commercial and residential lots.

The public hearing will provide an opportunity for residents to voice support or opposition to the proposal before the commission considers the request. Staff comments will also be presented as part of the review process.

Following the public hearing, commissioners will conduct regular business, including approval of meeting minutes from April 21.

Under new business, the commission will review a rezoning application submitted by Judy Manuel for property located at 1701 North Vansant Road. The applicant is requesting the property be rezoned from A-1 Agricultural District to C-3 Commercial District.

The rezoning request follows previous discussions regarding future commercial development opportunities along the North Vansant corridor. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation on the proposal before it advances through the city’s approval process.

The meeting is open to the public. Individuals wishing to address the commission are asked to complete a speaker card and submit it to the city clerk before the meeting is called to order. Public comments are limited to three minutes per speaker.

The Clinton Planning Commission meeting will be held at City Hall, located at 105 East Ohio Street.
