Jennie Louise Holmes, 99, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Glendale Gardens in Clinton. She was born December 9, 1926 in Allston, Massachusetts, the third child of Enrico Soricelli and Adeline (Colarusso) Soricelli.
She was raised in a very loving home in Brighton, MA. She married Maurice B. Holmes in Allston on September 14, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2000.
Jennie was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the church Altar Society, “Red Hat Chicks” Ladies and the Henry County Historical Society. She took pride in her volunteer work. She enjoyed reading, handwork and knitting.
Surviving are one son, Michall Holmes, Lebanon, MO; two daughters, Annette Hammer, Raytown, MO and Deborah Anderson, Minnetonka, Minnesota; grandchildren, Brett Anderson, Adam Anderson, Matthew Licausi, Emily Holmes, Kevin Holmes and Ethan Holmes; great-grandchildren, Christopher Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Loretta Anderson, Francine Anderson, Annika Holmes, Charlotte Holmes, Oliver Holmes, Mavrick Holmes, Christian Hardin, Jude Licausi, Gemma Licausi, Ceclia Licausi, Justice, Joseph, Jeremiah and Janiyah; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Annette Coletti; and one brother, Carmine Soricelli.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery.
