Henry County election officials are continuing to finalize results from Tuesday’s General Municipal Election, with write-in votes now being counted across several races. While preliminary totals were released on Election Night, the inclusion of write-in candidates may impact final outcomes in select contests where margins were narrow or no official candidates were listed on the ballot.
Officials report that all results remain unofficial until certification, expected later this week. Voter turnout for the election was just over 11 percent, with 1,611 ballots cast countywide. Final certified results, including all write-in totals, will be released once the counting process is complete.
