Education Foundation Approves Tennis Court Resurfacing Project

Due to a generous donation from the Clinton Education Foundation for Clinton Students, Inc., Clinton School District’s tennis courts are undergoing renovations and improvements in preparation for the 2021-2022 tennis seasons.

The project, which began this week, will include the grinding off the court’s surface, the filling of all of the surface’s cracks, before the final step of resurfacing begins.

The Education Foundation for Clinton Students Inc., is a not-for-profit organization, whose mission is to provide resources to support the students, staff, and goals of the Clinton School District. Since 1997, the Foundation has supported a variety of projects in the Clinton School District including; classroom impact grants for teachers, teacher scholarships, student scholarships, band instruments and computer equipment. Designated gifts to the Foundation helped fund the CIS playground equipment in 2018 and several sports and band activities. All donations to the Education Foundation are tax-deductible.

“The Foundation is happy to provide the funds to resurface the tennis courts,” said Carla Moberly, President. “We are able to sponsor this project and others due to generous donors and supporters who have participated in the Foundation fundraisers and designated gifts through the years”

Superintendent Destry Brown is grateful for the support the Foundation provides the district, “We are so thankful to have such a generous community that makes funding from the Foundation possible. The tennis teams are so appreciative that the Foundation approved the funding for this project.”
