Clinton Leaders Talk Artesian Park Improvements and Ballot Renewal

City leaders from Clinton discuss the August 4 ballot issue that would renew the city’s existing one-eighth cent sales tax for parks. The tax originally helped fund major improvements at Artesian Park, including the pool, bathhouse, parking lot, and lighting, and officials say the renewal would continue that same work for another five years. Mayor Carla Moberly explains that the tax is not a new increase, but a continuation of the current funding structure. The proposed revenue would support Artesian Park improvements, restrooms, shelter houses, a walking trail, and ADA-accessible upgrades at parks and ball fields.
