Beverly L. Phipps, 77, passed in her home in Clinton, Missouri, on May 5, 2024, with her family
at her side.
Beverly was born on April 18, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri to Lee Roy Long and Barbara L.
(Beebe) Long. Beverly finished school and a short time later met and married David Phipps in
Miami, Oklahoma on May 29, 1969. They have been together since and were 24 days shy of
celebrating 55 Years as Best Friends and Companions for Life.
She was a great mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Beverly volunteered with the
VFW Post 1894 Auxiliary and the Clinton Senior Center (in the past). And she would do anything
she could to help others. Beverly was a gamer and loved anything to do with games and cards.
Bingo, Fidget, Ah Dung, Bunco etc. Especially if it had the ability to set her competition back and
cause heightened tension during the time playing the games. Countless memories were made
and shared over the years because of this.
Beverly is survived by her husband, David Phipps; son Travis (Sandra) Phipps, daughter Thrisha
Phipps; grandchildren, Brandon, Seth, Kylie, Felix, Madilyn, Bode and Eden; 6 great
grandchildren; brothers, Rick (Sherri) Long and Mark (Delia) Long; sister, Kay (Dean) Hoeming;
and many other family and friends.
She was preceded by her parents Lee Roy and Barbara Long; and brother Mike Long.
