From Warrensburg Police Department:

Warrensburg, MO: On May 4th, 2024, at approximately 1:47a.m, a shooting occurred in Warrensburg, Johnson County Missouri. Officers located one victim with a gunshot wound to the shin of their left leg. The victim’s vehicle had multiple bullet holes in the trunk of the vehicle and driver’s side door. Witnesses described a black male with black clothing shooting a handgun in the street with other individuals near him. Officers located the suspect at the scene of the shooting standing next to his vehicle with one unspent 9mm round and three spent 9mm shell casings on the ground. Officers arrested the suspect and identified him as Bryan K.D. Logan.

Once Investigators arrived, they interviewed Bryan post his Miranda Warning. Bryan admitted to being in a disagreement with another individual and he pulled his handgun from his sweatpants and shot off two or three rounds to get two subjects away from him. Bryan admitted to throwing his handgun onto the front passenger seat of his vehicle. Investigators were later able to obtain a search warrant for Bryan’s vehicle and they were able to seize a black semi-automatic 9mm Smith and Wesson M&P pistol loaded with 9mm Speer hollow point rounds out of Bryan’s vehicle.

On May 4th, 2024, the Warrensburg Investigations Bureau applied for an arrest warrant for Bryan K.D. Logan, for Unlawful use of a Weapon While Intoxicated, Unlawful use of a Weapon shooting at a motor vehicle causing injury, Unlawful use of Weapon Exhibiting, Armed Criminal Action and Assault 1st Degree through the Johnson County Missouri Prosecutor’s Office. A warrant was issued by the Johnson County Courts for Bryan on these charges with no bond.

I would like to thank the members of the public, who have stood up against this senseless type of violence. I want to thank all of the agencies involved in this investigation and especially all of the Warrensburg Police Officers and Investigators who worked countless hours to reassure the public’s safety by taking the suspect into custody and building a solid investigation to keep him in custody.
