On Thursday, June 20th, the Henry County Commissioners hired the new Henry County Emergency Manager. He is Mark Hardin of Calhoun. Hardin has served as the Fire Chief of the Calhoun Fire Department since December of 2021. Hardin has built the fire department from one volunteer when he took over in 2021 to almost 30 volunteer members today. Hardin will take over the duties of the Henry County Emergency Management department at 220-B Washington St. starting on July 1st. Jim Sublette will remain on as Assistant Director.
