Approval of Previous Board Minutes: Matt Petry filled in as chair. Rachel moved to approve minutes and
Debby Van Winkle seconded.
Aquatic Center Update: We were able to find a head coach for swim team and did not have to take off the
month of April. She will work the summer schedule and we have several that have expressed interest in helping
out when needed. Working on cleaning the outdoor pool, currently filling it for the season. Morning water
aerobics will remain indoors until June 14 th . Golden Valley Physical Therapy is going to add décor and
information to the Therapy Pool. In the process of finding a chair lift to meet the weight requirements for the
Therapy Pool.
Clinton Friends of the Parks Update: Paid expenses: 2 soccer registrations for $60 and Scenic View Lawn
Service of $240 for work done at Antioch Park. New balance of $7986.25
Facilities Update: Antioch Park- waiting on contractor to put pipe in as we move into phase 2. Hurt Park- had
the ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of the renovation project. Have received lots of comments on
how good the park looks. Ball fields – have been prepped but games have been rained out. Thanks to the street
department for filling cracks at the soccer complex parking area. Will have it restriped when the outdoor pool’s
parking lot gets striped.
Program Update: Same classes in place, Body & Soul, Stretch & Flow Yoga and Taekwondo. T-ball 10 teams
with 103 kids, coach pitch – 87 teams with 78 kids, Division 1 Softball – 5 teams with 54 kids, Division 2
Softball has only 24 kids, may need to cancel D2 season.
Artesian Park Pool Improvement Project: Parking lot replacement in progress, very close to laying pavement.
Hoping it will be done by opening weekend. Sump pump failed to the kiddy play area. Hope to have it repaired
by opening weekend. Thanks to Osage Valley for pulling the light poles at the Outdoor Pool. They have been
repaired and painted
Unfinished Business; Disc Golf course, waiting for new property owner to finish survey.
New Business: Tim suggested the need for signage to let people know what is at the Community Center
Complex.
