
The Henry County Commission met pursuant to adjournment at the courthouse in Clinton, Missouri.
Those members present were: Jim Stone – Presiding Commissioner
Rick Fosnow – North District Commissioner
Dale Lawler – South District Commissioner
Rick Watson – County Clerk
At 9:00 a.m. Commissioner Stone brought the meeting to order.
At 9:00 a.m. Commissioner Fosnow made a motion to go into closed session via RSMo 610.021(3) to discuss personnel matters. Commissioner Lawler seconded the motion. The motion passed with a roll call vote of Lawer – yes, Fosnow – yes, and Stone – yes.
At 9:13 a.m. Commissioner Lawler made a motion to end the closed session. Commissioner Fosnow seconded the motion. The motion passed with a roll call vote of Lawer – yes, Fosnow – yes, and Stone – yes.
The agenda was approved as presented.
The minutes from the Thursday, May 23, 2024 meeting was read; Commissioner Fosnow made a motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Lawler seconded the motion, motion carried.

Expenditures from the following were approved to be paid:

Clerk Rick shared that all the required documentation for the BRO30 and BRO31 bridge projects has been submitted to MoDot.
The Commission discussed the “Safe Streets” grant that Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission is working on.
The group discussed the piling install on NE 300 Rd, in Springfield Township. The discussion was centered on whose expense the piling install should go to, the county or the township.
The group discussed the repair of the semi tractor.
Commissioner Lawler called Deepwater Township, as a culvert is collapsing on SW 520 Rd, in the Germantown area.
Dennis Bowers, Road and Bridge met with the Commission. The group discussed the crushed culvert on the Arkansas North Missouri Railway near LaDue. Commissioner Lawler shared that he would get ahold of someone with the railway. He also shared the culvert problem on SW 520 Rd with Dennis.
The group discussed the semi tractor. Dennis shared that he is getting an estimate to make repairs, but has found out, from the crew, that the problems with the tractor aren’t as bad as previously reported.
Dennis shared that the crew is preparing to make repairs to the pot holes on Booth Rd. He also shared that the crew well be working on cutting out the dead limbs to the trees on the courtyard.
There was discussion on repairs needed on the Quarry Road in Leesville.
