The Cass County Prosecutor has charged 25-year-old Verrell Garrett of Grandview with a Class
E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
On July 5, deputies responded to 171st St. near Holmes Rd. (Shay’s Fireworks) in Belton for an

toward them while he was driving.
Several days later, deputies with the Criminal Apprehension Unit were able to identify the

Deputies arrested him and he was charged on July 11.
Garrett is currently at the Cass County jail with no bond allowed.
