
The Missouri State Fair’s Senior Appreciation Day takes place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the State Fairgrounds in Sedalia. Sponsored by the Missouri Association for Area Agencies on Aging and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Vendor exhibits and booths – open on Exhibition Arena Floor. Register for the dance contest on August 14 near Center Stage from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or pre-register online by clicking here.
10:00 a.m. – 11:10 a.m. Free BINGO (Prizes awarded)
11:15 a.m. – 11:55 a.m. Line dancing lessons provided
12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. Pre-show: special guests, Ms. Missouri Senior and other entertainment
12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Dance contest (Must be 60+ to participate)
2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Awards presented

Five dance categories: Missouri Waltz, Polka, Jitterbug, Two-Step and Line Dancing
Prizes to the dance contest winners for each category: $100 – 1st Place $75 – 2nd Place $50 – 3rd Place
