With ballot issues for the November General Election still being settled, the Henry County Clerk’s office wanted to let voters know of dates and deadlines for the November election and ballots. Kelly Marriott, Elections Coordinator, with the Clerk’s office issued this statement about Absentee voting for November.

Due to the amount of calls and inquiries I am receiving I wanted to put some helpful information out there!

In office No Excuse Absentee Voting (aka Early Voting) will begin October 22, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, Saturday November 2, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024 only in the Henry County Clerk’s Office, 1st floor of the Henry County Courthouse .
With all elections in Missouri, voters are required to show photo identification at the polls, including absentee polls. ID that is accepted is as follows:
A nonexpired Missouri driver or non-driver license;
A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card;
A nonexpired United States passport; or
Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri which is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election.
The little Voter ID cards I send you every two years will not be enough identification to vote those are simply to keep our voter rolls up to date and to provide you with information on where to vote, you must have one of the previous mentioned ID’s.
The last day to register to vote for the November 5, 2024 General Election will be Wednesday October 9, 2024. The Voter Registration Office is located on the first floor of the Henry County Courthouse. Any resident of Henry County that is 17 ½ years of age may register to vote by showing a valid Missouri Driver’s License or other proof of residency and identification. The Voter Registration Office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Anyone having any questions regarding voter registration, absentee ballots and or elections are urged to call the Henry County Clerk’s/Voter Registration Offices at 660-885-7204, 7205 or 7206.
Sample Ballots are not yet available as some of the questions put on by the state are held up in court and we can not print ballots until these things are settled.
