Wednesday, Meet Me On Main, September 11, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., and help them welcome the new Fall season.
AC PTO is collecting Food Fair receipts and Best Choice UPC labels dated May – September, 2024. Please send them with students or place them in
a plastic bag or envelope and drop them off in the Elementary School Office, St. Clair County State Bank with Janet Payton or Little Apples
Learning Center by September 12. This on-going fundraiser raises money for PTO to use for classroom trips and supplies.
The monthly Men’s Fellowship Breakfast at the Appleton City Church of God will be 7:00 a.m. Saturday September 14. All the men of the
community are invited to join them for a time of great food and fellowship. Alan Black will have a short devotional.
The Knights of Columbus will have their monthly pancake and sausage breakfast at the Hall in Montrose on Sunday, September 15 from 8:30–10:00
a.m. Treat your family to a hot breakfast you don’t have to cook or clean up. A free will donation will be appreciated
Golden Apples will have pulled pork 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12 at Forest Park building. You are encouraged to bring a dish to go with pulled
pork and stay for Bingo.
The A.C. Fall City Wide Garage Sale dates are set for September 20 – 21. Permits are $5 and can be purchased at City Hall through Tuesday,
September 17. As the Saturday Street Festival will also be held this same weekend, the Park Building, stage and lawn space will not be available to
rent. House of Joy Ministries will be at the City Park on Saturday from 3:00-5:00 to collect donations, but may leave earlier if their trailer is full.
Maps will be available at Food Fair, Fika, Powell’s True Value and Casey’s beginning Thursday afternoon, September 19. For questions please

West Central Missouri Community Action Agency/New Growth is sponsoring “Bingo to Help Kiddos”, a fundraiser to benefit children in our region.
Proceeds will go towards helping purchase things like birthday/Christmas gifts and essentials for children in need. The event will take place at Olde
Crow Winery in Clinton, Mo 5:30 p.m. September 20, 2024. There will be food, drinks, games, a comedian, prizes, raffles and so much more. There
is no age limit, but children will require a chaperone. There is no entry fee for the event. Some games and food may have a cost. If you are
interested in donating a prize for the games, silent auction or making a cash donation, please contact WCMCCA at 660-476-2185. They do have a
Facebook event (Bingo to Help Kiddos | Facebook) that they urge everyone to take a look at and RSVP if planning to attend
Appleton City Worship Center will be having a clothing giveaway September 21, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This will be held at the Growing
in Grace Community Center in Appleton City. Freewill donations will be accepted with all proceeds going to the Growing in Grace Community
Center to help them in their ministry to our community. There will be a lot of ladies clothes as well as some men’s and children’s clothes
The Phil & Pam Morgan concert scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, has been moved from the AC Park to Ohio Christian Church. Come
enjoy the Morgans outstanding music, including opportunities to purchase CD’s and other souvenirs.
The Ellett Memorial Hospital/AC Clinic Community Block Party will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There are a few
vendor spots left for this year’s EMH Block Party. If you’re interested in filling one of these open spots, please call Kim Raybourn at 660-476-2111.
KC Wolf has confirmed making a special appearance at some point during the day. The hospital will be providing free snow cones and cotton candy,
along with a bounce house. Crank Farms will be providing the petting zoo.
Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH) aims to provide older adults with access to a safe, structured and effective exercise program capable of building
muscle and increasing bone density, thus decreasing frailty, osteoporosis and the risk of falls. Join them to build the strength you need to enjoy good
health as you age. (SSSH) is an exercise program that incorporates the latest research to help you develop the fitness, flexibility and balance that will
enable you to live independently longer. In hour long courses held twice a week, trained instructors will lead you through a warmup, easy-to-learn
strength exercises and a cool-down. SSSH exercises are safe and effective, and they provide weights for your use on-site. No need to wear special
clothes, just comfortable, loose-fitting pants and shirt, along with sturdy, closed-toe walking shoes. St. Clair County Center will host the course
taught by trained instructor, Lynnlee Parrott, MU Extension Field Specialist in Nutrition and Health. The course will be every Monday and
Wednesday – September 16 to November 20 (no class on October 14, 21, 23 and November 11) from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church (555
Walnut Street, Osceola.) Pre-registration is required by September 13 for this free course. MU Extension St. Clair County is accepting registrations at
417-646-2419 or https://extension.missouri.edu/events/stay-strong-stay-healthy-level-1-st-clair-county-fall-2024. If you have a disability and need
