Saturday, September 14th, at 4:45 pm, a 2006 Town & Country, driven by James A Moyers,23, of Oak Grove, was heading eastbound on 54 Hwy about 1 mile west of Collins, when an equipment failure occurred that caused the van to cross the center line where it struck the 2002 Harley Davidson driven by Jesse E Murray,63, of Nevada. Murray was ejected upon impact. The van continued to travel off the roadway  and struck a fence. Murray was pronounced dead at the scene. Moyers, along with a 12 year old juvenile, was transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, both with minor injuries. Murray’s body was taken to the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola. Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
