Fugitive Arrested in Rural Harrisonville

On Wednesday, September 25, just after midnight, deputies conducted a vehicle stop for expired license plates in rural Harrisonville.

Deputies arrested 31-year-old Jacob Ott of Garden City, MO and seized drugs, a firearm and a knife. 

Dispatch also confirmed Ott had a warrant out of Jackson County, KS for Failure to Appear in Court for an amphetamine charge. 

He has since been charged for being a Fugitive from Out of State. 

Regarding the arrest in Harrisonville, Ott has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Ott is currently at the Cass County Jail on no bond.
