
2 Friday night auto accidents send 2 to hospitals.
First occurred at 8:15 pm when a southbound vehicle driven by Samuel P Coleman,23, of Clinton swerved to avoid an animal in the road. Coleman was traveling on SE 300th Rd in Henry county. Coleman lost control and struck a fence. A female occupant in the vehicle, Morgan K Wade,21, of Clinton suffered serious injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Coleman did not report any injuries. Missouri State Troopers reported that the vehicle was totaled.
A second incident occurred in Benton County at 9:45 pm. A vehicle driven by Pamela K Graham,58, of Edwards was traveling northbound on Highway 65 when she was attempting to turn on to Highway T. Graham turn into the path of Michael E Nichols, 43, of Lees Summit, who was southbound on Highway 65. Graham was not wearing her safety belt at the time of the accident. She was Life flighted to University Medical Center in Columbia in serious condition. Graham’s vehicle was totaled.
