Anthony Douglas “Tony” Taylor

Anthony Douglas “Tony” Taylor, 62, of Windsor, Missouri, died Saturday morning, October 5, 2024, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Mo.

He was born February 4, 1962, in Windsor, Mo., the son of Henry Reuben Taylor Sr. and Billie Louise (Harned) Taylor. On May 20, 1998, he married Marjorie Dawn Dube in Windsor, and she survives of the home.

Tony attended Windsor High School and graduated from State Fair Community College. He worked at the Windsor Restaurant and Casey’s in Windsor and then for a guitar shop. He loved music, especially Johnny Cash and The Beatles, and played in various bands. He was an avid reader and enjoyed crime shows on television.

In addition to his wife Dawn, survivors include a step-son, Robert Gray, Regina, Saskatchewan; 2 sisters, Nancy Smith Tomek-Saxton (nee Taylor), Independence, Mo., and Joan Taylor, Windsor, Mo.; 3 nephews, Doug Smith (Shelly), Daniel Smith, and Christian Tomek (Morgan); 2 nieces, Abbey Rose Smith and Cara Tomek; and many cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; two infant brothers, David Terrance Taylor and James Kevin Taylor; a brother, Hank Taylor; and a brother-in-law, Jerry W. Smith.

Graveside memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Pastor Albert Oetman officiating. A memorial has been established for funeral expenses and contributions may be left in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
