
The Henry County Commission met pursuant to adjournment at the courthouse in Clinton, Missouri.
Those members present were: Jim Stone – Presiding Commissioner
Rick Fosnow-North District Commissioner
Dale Lawler – South District Commissioner
Rick Watson – County Clerk
At 9:05 a.m. Commissioner Stone brought the meeting to order.
The minutes from the Tuesday October 8th, 2024 meeting were read; Commissioner Fosnow made a motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Lawler seconded the motion, motion carried.
Expenditures from the following were approved to be paid:

Prosecuting Attorney Law Enforcement Dept Law Enforcement Fund

Commissioner Fosnow updated the group on the Windsor Township planning and zoning meeting he attended last night. He clarified that Lionel Hostetler did not have permits for the chicken farm operation that he plans to build on Hwy OO. He did state that he was told by the DNR that the barn he planned on building was limited to 100,000 birds.
Dennis Bowers, the Road and Bridge Supervisor, met with the Commission. He stated that the crew has been checking bridges and ditches. He shared that the bridge on NE681, in Deer Creek Township, has some movement. He contacted MoDot’s bridge inspector to look at it and determine if it needed new deck planks or other type of repair. He stated that he believes that the inspector will close the bridge until repairs can be done. Commissioner Lawler stated that we need to fasten new planks with a better fastener, as the county has made repairs on that bridge within the past 8 years.
Dennis commented that the concrete repair work on SE91 Rd, in Bethlehem Township looks good, and is curing. The road will be reopened next Wednesday, then the crew will do some ditch work along the road.
Dennis shared that the John Deere with the transmission problem turned out to be sensors and wiring issues. It is now back to work.
An abstract of fees, collected by the Recorder of Deeds Office, for the month of September was reviewed and approved.
At 11:30 Commissioner Lawler made a motion to adjourn, Commissioner Fosnow seconded with a roll call vote of Lawler – yes, Fosnow – yes, and Stone -Yes.
