The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that on Saturday afternoon at 5:01PM, a crash occurred at the intersection of 2nd and Ohio streets in Clinton, when a 2022 Dodge Charger driven by Nicholas Smith, 25 of Clinton, struck a 2022 Honda Pilot driven by Brenda Beaird, 78 of Clinton. Smith was not wearing his safety device at the time and suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
According to a few witnesses, Smith, a Clinton Police Officer was driving his patrol vehicle and was responding to a call with his lights or sirens on. Radford Media is still gathering any additional details on this story.
