Janice (Ferguson) Williams

Janice (Ferguson) Williams, 77, of Sedalia, Missouri, died late Wednesday evening, October 23, 2024, at Sylvia Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia.

She was born May 10, 1947, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of William Nyal “Jack” Ferguson and Alice Mary (Ebing) Ferguson. She married Charles Wayne Williams in Miami, Oklahoma, and they were the parents of 2 children, Michelle and Matthew.

Janice graduated from Windsor High School in 1965. She helped on her family’s dairy farm and raised horses and dogs. She bravely fought multiple sclerosis (MS) her entire adult life. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Windsor.

Survivors include 2 children, Michelle Schnackenberg (Dale), Independence, Mo., and Matthew Williams, Sweet Springs, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Thomas Schnackenberg, Garrett Schnackenberg, Lauren Langford, Brandi Shrum, and Katlin Garza; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dennis Ferguson (Marilyn), Roach, Mo., and Jerry Ferguson (Dianne), Niceville, Florida; a brother-in-law, Larry DesCombes, Leeton, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Carol DesCombes.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Rev. David Mills officiating.
