On November 5th, 2024 at approximately 8:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a rural Cole Camp residence on B Highway for a shooting victim. Scotty R. Roark 56, of rural Lincoln MO was located with a gunshot wound through his lower torso. Scotty stated his wife, Katherine L. Roark 52, shot him as he was airing up his truck tire at their rural Lincoln residence on AB Highway. Scotty was taken by ambulance to a trauma hospital. Due to inclement weather the air ambulance was unable to fly. Katherine was taken into custody at their residence without any resistance and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was placed on a 24 hour investigative hold. This is an ongoing investigation, so I will update you as this progresses.
