Nancy R. Hollis Brown, 67, of Windsor, Missouri, died October 29, 2024, at her home in Windsor.
She was born October 24, 1957, in Springfield, Illinois, to Dr. Loren R. Hollis and Esther Marie (Janssen) Hollis. On January 4, 1981 she married Lance William Brown in Petersburg, Il., and he survives of Elkhart, Il.
Nancy was a 1976 graduate of PORTA High School where she played the flute in both marching and concert band. After graduation she attended Lincoln Land Community College. A talented seamstress, Nancy sewed many prom dresses and crocheted. She enjoyed going to garage sales, traveling, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband Lance, survivors include four children, Allyn (Shauna) Brown, Wanatah, Indiana, Brian (Marla) Brown, Del Ray Beach, Florida, Nicole (David) Sutherland, Elkhart, IL., and Jennifer (Cameron) Boggs, El Paso, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Riley, Skyler, Dakota, Harper and Camden Boggs, Anne Brown, and David Sutherland; 3 sisters, Chris (Terry) Bacon, Dawn (Bruce) Morrow, and Tina Evans; a chosen sister, Lori (Rick) Chapman; and several beloved nieces and nephews and their families. She is also survived by an “adopted” son, Charlie Cole and his family of Windsor. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a step-father, Leland Hoff and two brothers, Ronald and Frederick Hollis.
