The Appleton City Achievers Club will hold their 44th annual auction, Monday, November 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the AC School East Gym. The proceeds will go for Missouri Girls Town and Local Projects.  This will be an evening of fun, entertainment and homemade pie for everyone.  Come have fun with them and you might see something you want.  And yes, guys are welcome!

The monthly Men’s Fellowship Breakfast at the Appleton City Church of God will be 7:00 a.m. Saturday November 9.  All the men of the community are invited to join them for a time of great food and fellowship.   Ron Dunlap will have a short devotional.  

The Knights of Columbus will have their monthly pancake and sausage breakfast at the Knight’s Hall in Montrose on Sunday, November 10 from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m.  Treat your family to a hot breakfast you don’t have to cook or clean up.  A free will donation will be greatly appreciated

The Ellett Memorial Hospital and AC Rural Health Clinic will host a 2024 Veteran’s Day Breakfast Monday, November 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. to all Veterans and their spouses.  The Veterans of the past and present, we thank you for taking all the risks and making these sacrifices. 

The next Meet Me On Main, Second Wednesday, Shop and Stroll will be November 13, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Participating businesses include Jina’s Junque, Rural Roots, 3 Wishes, 4th Street Fika, Bluebird Lounge, Cork & Keg, Bulldogs Nutrition, and A.C. Library. 

Montrose VFW annual fish fry will be 6:00 p.m. November 8.  Menu is fried fish, mountain oysters, fries, hush puppies, cole slaw baked beans and dessert.  Drinks are extra. Cost is $15 for adults, children 6-12 $10 and children 5 and under free. Takeout is available.  There will be a gun raffle.

Pastor David Hill invites everyone to a new Sunday sermon series through November 24. “Daniel & Revelation: Exploring the Christian Apocalypse and Renewal of All Things” will be offered at Rockville United Methodist Church at 9:00 a.m. and Trinity United Methodist Church at 10:45 a.m.

The Montrose Class of 2026 is selling raffle tickets for another set of cornhole boards.  Boards are handmade by the Wagner Family and bags handmade by Kelsey Carter.  Ticket costs are 1 for $10 or 3 for $25.  Tickets will also be sold during the JH basketball game on November 13 and the drawing will be at 2:00 p.m. during the Montrose Holiday Mart.  

The Montrose Classes of 2025 & 2026 are hosting the Annual Holiday Mart in Montrose on November 16 from 10:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Come shop and enjoy 20+ vendors, bake sale by the Montrose PTSO and Christmas photos by the Montrose Yearbook Staff.  The Deer Hunter’s breakfast will be from 5:30 – 10:00 a.m. and the Deer Luncheon will be from 10:30 – 2:00 p.m.  They appreciate your support!!

MU Extension is partnering with fellow St. Clair County service organizations and the public library to provide an opportunity for residents to connect with service providers. MU Extension invites the public to “put the pieces together” when it comes to the needs of family, also called informal, caregivers and the loved ones they care for, who are aging and/or experiencing disability.  Information will be available on housing and food security information, independence/supportive services, educational opportunities and more. Join them at the St. Clair County Library 115 Chestnut St. Osceola, MO, November 12 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
