On November 21st at approximately 9:23 PM deputies responded to an address on Oak Ridge Ave, a rural Warsaw location, for a possible shooting. A female, Lori Nicolaisen 49, of the residence called Benton County Central Dispatch and stated she shot her husband and would be waiting for deputies to arrive.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted Lori outside the residence and placed her into custody. Entering the residence, deputies discovered Michael K. Nicolaisen, 64, on the floor of the residence with an apparent gun shot wound to the upper torso of his body. Michael was able to give law enforcement a statement before he was flown to a trauma center.
Lori was transported to the Benton County Jail and charged with Domestic Assault 2nd degree and received a surety bond of $250,000.
