Lyle K. Street

Lyle K. Street, 80, of Green Ridge, Missouri, died late Sunday evening, December 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born December 16, 1943, in Green Ridge, Mo., the son of Lloyd Kelly Street and Vivian Iris (Binder) Street. He graduated from Green Ridge High School in 1961. On February 18, 1967, he married Kay Kindle in Ionia, Mo., and she survives of the home.

While his trucking profession took him all over the country, Lyle called Green Ridge home his entire life. Starting at the young age of 13, he was the second-generation owner and operator of Street Trucking for many years, retiring in his mid-70s. Lyle enjoyed life, especially his children and grandkids. He liked fishing, playing sports and watching sports, Western movies and books, and watching car races and truck pulls. He was a lifetime member of the American Bull Haulers Association where “fear is not an option,” and enjoyed playing cards and “Green Ridge Rummy” with a special group of local friends. He was a member of the Green Ridge Baptist Church and served on the Green Ridge Cemetery Board.

In addition to his wife Kay, survivors include a son, Kelly Street (Leslie Koeller), Warrensburg, Mo.; a daughter, Stacy Barb (Chris) Strafford, Mo.; and 5 grandchildren, Drew Barb, Amber Street, Kellie Street, Katie Gragson, and Isaac Gragson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Street.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor John Streit officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Honorary bearers will be David Gail, Lendell Hilt, Donnie Hitaffer, Ricky Shipps, Donald Sullivan, and Joe Wells.
