Linda Kay Caldwell

Linda Kay Caldwell, 80, of Chilhowee, Missouri, died Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home.

She was born March 13, 1944, in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of Irvin Lee Fowler and Helen Virginia (McDowell) Fowler. On April 5, 1968, she married Raymond Lee Caldwell in Butler, Mo., and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2022.

Linda graduated from Clinton High School in 1962. After high school, she worked for United Telephone, Stewart-Nattinger, and Sadler Motor Company for several years. She and Raymond moved to family land near Chilhowee in 1971 and built their farm. She later worked for CenturyLink for over 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed life on the farm and enjoyed canning produce from her garden. Preserving strawberries was one of her favorites and she liked to cook. She attended the First Baptist Church Leeton and had also attended Harmony Baptist Church.

Survivors include 2 sons, Clinton Lee Caldwell, Windsor, Mo., and Clifton Reid Caldwell (Kelly), Chilhowee, Mo., 3 grandchildren, Ashleah Clear (Michael), Caedon Caldwell, and Gunnarr Caldwell, all of Chilhowee, Mo.; 4 step-grandchildren, Austin Midkiff (Kloee), Marshall, Mo., Joshua Midkiff (Hayley), Leeton, Mo., Abigail Hirschberg (Camiel), Berlin, Germany, and Lukas Midkiff, Warrensburg, Mo.; 5 great-grandchildren, Nova Rayn Cardente, Zandon Lane Clear, Hazel Audrene Midkiff, Alberta Lucile Midkiff, and Dakota Midkiff; a brother, Don Fowler, Columbia, Mo.; 2 sisters, Brenda Dehn (Tom), Clinton, Mo., and Regenia Miracle (Bruce), Republic, Mo.; 2 aunts, Merle Howell, Clinton, Mo., and Elsie McDowell, Independence, Mo.; and a niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and a brother, Ronald Lee, in 1946.

Graveside services will be 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Providence Cemetery, near Chilhowee, Mo., with Pastor John Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, Mo.
