Rodney Isabell

Rodney Isabell, 76, of Wooldridge, Missouri, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at his home.

He was born November 25, 1947, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Leo Emmett Isabell Jr. and Bonnie Louise (Parker) Isabell. On October 30, 1969, he married Susan Louise Wiltz and they were the parents of three children, Mark, Jamie, and Robin. On November 5, 1983, he married Vera Mae Branstetter in Windsor, Mo., and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2024.

Rodney served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1979. He worked for the United Postal Service at the general mail facility in Columbia, Mo., for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He and Vera were square dancing partners, and he also liked to bowl.

Survivors include 3 children, Mark Isabell (Jackie), Clinton, Mo.; Jamie Isabell, Clinton, Mo.; and Robin Kagarice, Harrisonville, Mo.; 9 grandchildren, Greg Isabell, Cody Isabell, Brayden Isabell, Tristan Isabell, Gabe Isabell, Scott Isabell, Koltin Kagarice, Kourtney Kagarice, and Khloe Kagarice; 2 great-grandchildren, Braylyn and Grayson; a brother, Greg Isabell, Warsaw, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Julie Isabell, Calhoun, Mo.; and several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. In addition to his wife Vera, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Mark Isabell in infancy and Aarond Isabell.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Peter Kurowski officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, Mo., with Military Honors. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
