Randy Mansfield

Randy Mansfield, 71, of Windsor, Missouri, died Monday evening, March 24, 2025, at his home in Windsor.

He was born April 16, 1953, in Clinton, Mo., the son of Kenneth Leroy Mansfield and Mary Fern (Smith) Mansfield. On December 23, 1972, at the First Christian Church in Windsor, he married Ruth Ann Metcalf and she preceded him in death on December 11, 2015.

Randy played football for Windsor High School. After graduation, he worked for a short time with Lock Joint Pipe Company. He went to work for KCP&L and began a 31-year career in the power industry, retiring as a power control operator at the Montrose power plant. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed watching wrestling and the Kansas City Chiefs. Their home was always open to young people and he and Ruth were loved by many kids in Windsor.

Survivors include a son, John “Charlie” Mansfield (Angelia), Windsor, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, John Dylan Mansfield, Dalton Jaymz Mansfield, Makenzie Ruth Cooper, Jase Ira Haines, Darby Spring Hudson and Leona Mable Hudson; 7 great-grandchildren, Jacetyn, Luca, Xavier, Teagan, Thalia, Jonovan, and Tajhaa; a brother, Wayne “Ern” Mansfield, Windsor, Mo.; 3 sisters, Margo Terry (Lonnie), Tightwad, Mo., Teresa Livingston (Otis), Kingsville, Mo., and Karen Raithel (Mark), Centertown, Mo.; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and many extended Metcalf family members. In addition to his wife Ruth, he was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melissa Mansfield; and a sister, Lori Ash.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Pete Hill officiating and Pastor Jamie Hargett assisting. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Friday before the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Windsor Farrington Park in care of the funeral home.
