The Henry County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office announces that $8,017 has been collected for the Capital School Fund of Henry County. As pictured, Windsor School Superintendent Brad Hunter, Clinton School Assistant Superintendent Christian Meier, Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Griffin Winesburg, Henry County Treasurer Rick Watson, Clinton Police Department Captain Paul Abbott, Prosecuting Attorney LaChrisha Gray, and Deputy Circuit Court Clerk Leeanna Slater attended the transfer of money.

Law enforcement seized the money from several different drug-related investigations from 2020 through 2023. Disposition of the criminal cases must be complete before anything can be done by the court regarding the cash. All of the defendants in the cases entered a plea of guilt or were found guilty by the Court in their criminal matters. The Circuit Court subsequently ordered that the cash money seized be forfeited and the proceeds be distributed to the Capital School Fund, which is dispersed to all the school districts of Henry County.
