Last week, a vehicle unexpectedly caught fire while parked in front of the Casey’s convenience store in Osceola. All escaped the fire without injury, aside from a male child who was transported to the hospital for burns to part of his body. As of late last week, the child was said to still be under medical professionals’ care but recovering.

In the days following the fire, the business reopened with temporary modifications made to the door and windows, using plywood, along the front of the building where glass was shattered.
