Excitement and emotion filled the air as Share and Care for Special People, Inc. hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at their new property, located at 820 N. Price Lane. The event marks the beginning of construction on a long-anticipated project that will expand services and honor a legacy of leadership and compassion.

The new development includes a modern office building and The Cheryl Craig Learning Center, named in tribute to Cheryl Craig, the organization’s first director. Craig served Share and Care for an impressive 25 years, helping to build a foundation of care, advocacy, and opportunity for individuals with special needs throughout the Clinton area.

“This is more than just a building—it’s a symbol of our continued commitment to the people we serve and to the values Cheryl instilled in us from day one,” said a representative from Share and Care. “We’re incredibly grateful to see this dream finally coming to life.”

Klassen Construction has been selected to carry out the project and is expected to begin work immediately. The facility will enhance the nonprofit’s ability to provide educational programs, community outreach, and individualized support in a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment.

The event was attended by board members, staff, families, and community leaders, all celebrating the start of what promises to be a bright new chapter for Share and Care.

Completion of the new building and learning center is anticipated in the coming year.
