William “Bill” Douglas, 65, of Windsor, Missouri, died Friday, June 6, 2025, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.
He was born November 12, 1959, in Odessa, Mo., the son of Chalen Carter Douglas Jr. and Carolyn Ann (Swanson) Douglas. On May 4, 1979, he married Rebecca Sue “Becky” Rogers, and she survives of the home.
Bill graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1978 and served in the United States Army. He attended Midwestern Baptist Seminary and received a degree from Slidell Baptist Seminary. He served as a pastor for over 30 years, including 20 years as Pastor of Grace Community Church, Windsor. He also worked as a Chaplain for Crossroads Hospice for 10 years. Bill continued the family tradition of supporting the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed trips to the Smoky Mountains, reading, golfing, cooking, but most especially time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Sarah Entrop (Kyle), Clinton, Mo.; a son, Jacob Douglas (Kaitlyn), Kansas City, Mo.; 3 grandchildren, Wyatt and Grant Entrop and London Douglas; 3 sisters, Carrie Kolb (Aaron), Guadalajara, Mexico, Karen Douglas, Oak Grove, Mo., and Kelly Douglas, Oak Grove, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Lilly Rogers, Oak Grove, Mo., brother-in-law, Ronald Rogers (Amy), Centerview, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Teresa Rosser (Bill), Holden, Mo.; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nancy Douglas; his father-in-law, Raymond E. Rogers Sr., and a brother-in-law, Raymond E. Rogers, Jr.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Grace Community Church, Windsor, with Rev. John Phillips officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, Mo. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
