
Seniors in Henry County seeking property tax relief for 2025 will have multiple opportunities in July to receive in-person assistance, thanks to outreach efforts by the Henry County Collector/Treasurer’s Office.
Rick Watson, Henry County Collector/Treasurer, announced that staff will be stationed at various city halls throughout the county to assist residents with the Henry County Senior Real Estate Property Tax Relief Program. The program is available to homeowners aged 62 and older who live in their primary residence and may qualify to freeze property taxes using 2025 as the base year.
Staff will help applicants complete forms, obtain required documents such as paid tax receipts and warranty deeds, make copies of identification, and notarize signatures. Special documentation will be needed for properties owned under a Trust or LLC.
