Clinton police are investigating a fatal incident that occurred early Wednesday morning, leaving one person dead and another in custody.
According to a statement from the Clinton Police Department, officers responded to the area of South Main Street and West Ohio Street after receiving reports of a homicide. Upon arrival, they confirmed the death and detained a suspect.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, and details about the nature of the homicide remain undisclosed. Police emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the public and said more information will be shared as the investigation continues.
