The 52nd Annual Ag Appreciation Dinner and Sale was held Monday evening, August 18, at the Benson Center in Clinton. The event, hosted by the Ag Committee of the Greater Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sale Committee, once again drew a large crowd to celebrate local agriculture and recognize outstanding community members.

Several students were honored with scholarships, including Lauren Bailey, Chezney Early, Kellan Eye, Chloe Jenkins, Abbygail Jones, and Kathryn Schaffer. In addition, a number of top 4-H and FFA students were highlighted for their awards and achievements this year.

The Jeff Stone family was named the Henry County Farm Family of 2025, while the Laura Potthoff-Schulte family was recognized as a Century Farm Family. Dan and Lisa Wallace were inducted into the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame for 2025, and Dr. Terry Mitchel, DVM received the prestigious honor of Ag Person of the Year.

The evening concluded with the annual livestock sale and a drawing for Chamber gift certificates, wrapping up another successful celebration of agriculture’s vital role in the Henry County community.
