A grand jury indictment has been filed following an investigation into the death of a two-year-old child in June 2025 led by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. The indictment charges Trisha Thiele, 34 of Windsor, with the class A felony of endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree resulting in death.

Specifically, the indictment alleges that Thiele “knowingly acted in a manner that created a substantial risk to the life, body and health of [the] juvenile victim, a child less than seventeen years of age, specifically a child of two years of age, by failing to maintain reasonable supervision of [the] juvenile victim, and this offense resulted in death to the child.”

Thiele is currently being held without bond at the request of the Henry County Prosecuting Attorney LaChrisha Gray and the recommendation of the grand jury.

If convicted, the range of punishment for a class A felony is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term of years not less than ten (10) years and not to exceed thirty (30) years, or life imprisonment.
