Henry County Memory Fund will be participating in the Henry County Project Connect event. It will be held at the Benson Convention Center in Clinton, MO on Friday, September 12th from 9:00AM – 3:00PM. Project Connect is a free, one-day event designed to connect community members with essential health services, support programs and critical resources.
Project Connect is designed to make essential services more accessible by bringing them all under one roof. Attendees can receive support ranging from dental care and haircuts to health screenings, legal assistance, and help with Medicaid, food stamps, and unemployment. Resources for veterans, substance use recovery, and workforce development will also be available, along with vouchers for vital documents like birth certificates and driver’s licenses. Everything is offered free of charge, with no need for insurance or appointments. To make the day even more welcoming, a complimentary lunch will be
served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Henry County Memory Fund committee will be there to provide information and answer any question on how we can assist caregivers by paying for items such as prescriptions, durable medical equipment, respite care, transportation, and providing housing assistance as needed. The committee members will also be providing information about support groups or other resources that caregivers can utilize for additional support.
Applications for assistance are available if you or someone you know is battling with Alzheimer’s or dementia. For more information you may contact Ranae Walrath, 660-890-7294 or Christa Atchison, 660-525-1338.
