Clinton Chamber Prepares for Busy Fall with Luncheon, Community Events, and New Services The Greater Clinton Area

Chamber of Commerce has announced several updates for the community heading into Labor Day weekend.

Here is the latest from the Chamber Director, David Lee.

THE CLINTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND OUR AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE ARE HOSTING A CHAMBER LUNCHEON. WE WILL START THE PROGRAM AROUND 11:45 AND IF YOU ARE STILL EATING, THAT’S CERTAINLY NO PROBLEM. OUR SPEAKERS WILL INCLUDE VISION CARE DIRECT, CLINTON MAIN STREET, CHAMBER CHILDCARE COMMITTEE AND CLINTON’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR MARK DAWSON AS HE WILL BE INTRODUCING HIS REPLACEMENT. FIND OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN CLINTON, HENRY CO. THERE MAY BE TIME FOR A SHORT ‘QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION’ AND/OR A TIME TO SPEAK INDIVIDUALLY WITH EACH PRESENTER. THERE WILL BE SOUP AND SANDWICHES, DESSERT, AND DRINK.

This week, we continued our “Featured” segments on the Chamber’s Facebook page. We are now taking text and images from our member’s websites, Facebook pages, Google searches, etc. and combining them into posts on our Facebook page. “Featured with the GCACC”. It gives the viewer a “one-stop shopping experience” for each of our Chamber members. We have a lot of Chamber members so getting every business on our page will take quite a while, but we think it’s well worth it! It’s just another service from YOUR Chamber of Commerce. Volunteer Opportunity–We are excited to invite you to volunteer at the inaugural Project Connect, a one-day public health fair dedicated to providing free health services, resources, and educational opportunities to our local community.
Event Details:
Date: Friday, September 12, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Benson Center, Clinton, MO
Project Connect will welcome approximately 350 attendees and is open to everyone in our region. Our goal is to connect individuals, families, and organizations with critical health services and valuable community resources.
Volunteer Opportunities:
• Set-up: Thursday, September 11, evening 4p-6p
• Event Day: Friday, September 12, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Lunch: Provided from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Non-profit agencies with 501(c)3 or similar tax-exempt status like schools, faith-based organizations or governmental entities are eligible to apply for grants. In awarding grants, TLCF and the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) will not discriminate based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status.
Eligible nonprofits can begin the application process online starting August 1, 2025 at cfozarks.org/applyforgrants.
TLCF was founded in 1998 with a mission to enhance the quality of life in Henry County and surrounding area through resource development, community grant making, collaboration and
public leadership. Through the generosity of donors, our fund balances have grown to $14 million dollars. To date, we have awarded more than $4 million in grants.

We’ve had people come into the Chamber over the years wanting some item with Clinton on it…either as a souvenir, gift, school project, etc. We’ve had some items, but never before…magnets. Well, here they are! $5.00 at 200 S. Main St. M-F 8am-4:30pm.

Are you needing a meeting space in Clinton? If so, the Chamber of Commerce may be able to help you out. The Chamber of Commerce building at 200 S. Main St. features a conference room with a table and chairs for about ten people, possibly more if needed. The room features a big screen TV with access to Internet, zoom and more, a sink, coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, and restrooms. This room is available to members of the Clinton Chamber free of charge. It is also available to those that are not members of our Chamber, however there is a fee. The room can be used during business hours from 8am till 4:30pm Monday through Friday. After hours and weekend hours can be discussed.
