
On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., law enforcement officers with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas City Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals Service Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a 41-year-old man in Pleasant Hill.
Deputies say Richard Holliday was taken into custody near State Route 291 and East 175th Street. Holliday was wanted on two outstanding Jackson County warrants, one for homicide and another for burglary.
Following his arrest, Holliday was transported by Cass County deputies to the Jackson County Jail, where he is being held pending further legal proceedings.
