Clinton Intermediate School briefly enacted a “lock and teach” procedure yesterday out of an abundance of caution, following police activity in the school’s parking lot.
During the precautionary measure, classroom doors were locked while students and teachers continued with normal classroom activities. School officials confirmed that the situation was unrelated to the school itself or to any students or staff members.
Law enforcement quickly resolved the matter, and the school resumed normal operations shortly thereafter. Administrators emphasized that at no point were students or staff in danger.
School leaders thanked families and the community for their understanding as safety remains a top priority in ensuring a secure learning environment for all.
