New MCMC board member Marc Kaiser of Carrollton, Mo., was recently elected by growers in District 2 and assumes his new role Oct. 1. He will be nominated as a candidate for the MCGA board at the organization’s annual meeting in January. Kaiser replaces Matt Lambert of Laclede, Mo., who served the maximum 12 years.
MCMC is a longstanding partner with the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) to enhance the value of corn, ethanol, and distillers’ grains through strong international exports. Serving on 2025-26 USGC advisory teams are: Ryan Meyerkorth, Value-Added; Adam Casner, Ethanol; Brian Willott of Mexico, Mo., Asia; Brian Lehman, Middle East/Africa/South Asia; Brice Fischer, Innovation and Sustainability; and current ex officio and former MCGA President Jay Schutte of Benton City, Western Hemisphere. Also serving in an ex officio position, Jay Fischer of Jefferson City serves as USGBC secretary/treasurer, and Dylan Rosier as an at-large member on the board of directors.
Several Missouri Corn leaders also volunteer their time on National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) action teams and committees. Brandon Thiel was named vice chair of the Ethanol Action Team and will also serve on the Resolutions Committee. Other action team appointments include Jim Boerding of St. Charles, Research & New Uses; Brian Willott, Risk Management; Addie Yoder of Leonard, Production & Sustainability; Matt Lambert, Corn PAC; Brian Lehman, Nominating Committee; and Will Hunter of Sikeston, Trade, Transportation, Animal Ag. Jay Schutte sits on the National Corn Board and will serve on the Finance Committee.
The MCMC board of directors is comprised of 14 corn growers elected from across the state. This volunteer board was formed in 1984 with the passage of a corn checkoff and is dedicated to market development, research, and education. MCGA is a grassroots organization committed to increasing the profitability of corn production through sound policies, continued market development, and strong involvement in the political process.
