
Clinton Rural Fire Protection Incorporated
Meeting Notice
The Board of Directors of the Clinton Rural Fire Protection Inc. are meeting Monday, October 13, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., at the Clinton Fire Department at 301 S Washington St. in Clinton.
The agenda for the meeting is:
- Roll call and determining a quorum.
- Reading of the minutes and the financial report.
- Fire Chief’s Report
- Chairman’s Report
- Unfinished business
- Update on First Due Database.
- Any other unfinished business as necessary.
- New and miscellaneous business
- Review and approve By-Law changes to be approved at the November Annual meeting of all members.
- Change the position of Secretary/Treasurer to separate positions.
- Make the Secretary position Recording Secretary and hire by contract, a person to handle meeting minutes for the board.
iii. Redefine Section 2 A 4 to add “farm” to the building descriptions.
- Redefine Section 2 B 2 to change the word “residences” to “structures.” v. Add Section 2 B 3 designating a multi-family residential structure over a determined square footage or number of floors that triggers doubling the residential fee for each building.
- Change Section 2 C Commercial Class A to any commercial building under 10,000 square feet.
vii. Delete Section 2 C Commercial Class B.
viii. Change Section 2 C, Commercial Class C to Commercial B.
- Add to Section 2 C the designation of a Commercial Class C. Any
commercial operation that operates a used equipment parts operation and uses a cutting torch of any type to remove parts from old vehicles, trucks of any type, or farm equipment. These operations shall pay an annual fee of $300. If they have more than 2 fires, caused by any type of cutting
operation in the calendar year, they will be charged an extra $150 per
response for a fire. This shall start on January 1, 2026.
- Review of 2026 proposed budget.
The proceedings shall be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order, except as otherwise provided for in the bylaws of the corporation.
