The new trail is a welcome enhancement to Clinton’s outdoor recreation options, providing residents and visitors with a peaceful, scenic path for walking, birdwatching, and enjoying nature. The project was made possible through generous donations by Martha Friedmeyer, whose gift helped bring the vision to life, and through grant funding provided by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

City officials, community members, and representatives from the Missouri Department of Conservation gathered to celebrate the opening and recognize the partnerships that made the project possible.

“This trail represents more than just a walking path—it’s a commitment to connecting our community with the beauty of nature,” said a representative from Clinton Parks and Recreation. “We’re deeply grateful to Martha Friedmeyer and the Department of Conservation for helping us create a space that generations can enjoy.”

Martha’s Nature Trail winds through the natural landscape of Antioch Park, offering a quiet retreat within city limits and encouraging outdoor activity and environmental appreciation.

The Clinton Parks and Recreation Department invites the public to visit Antioch Park and experience Martha’s Nature Trail firsthand as part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance recreation and quality of life in Clinton.
